1,000× improvement over GPU racks for AI inference
ZettaLith is a digital architecture optimized for FP4 AI inference using CMOS technologies slated for volume production in 2026. Compared to a Nvidia GB200 NVL72 rack, ZettaLith is designed to be:• 1,047× faster (FP4 inference only)
• 1,490× more power efficient
• 2,325× more cost effective
• 0.72× the LLM parameter memoryUndoubtedly, it sounds utterly ridiculous to claim 1,000× improvement in performance, power and cost-performance over the flagship product of the world’s most valuable company. I am certainly well-aware of that. How those ratios are derived is simple, and contained in the following table:
ZettaLith is designed for AI inference only. It is not suitable for AI training, HPC, or graphics. What about performance under real AI inference loads? Too early to tell, but my objective is to maintain as much as possible of the peak performance through to real-world workloads. For example, memory-to-memory large batches of huge matrix multiplies (the main workload) operate at 98.52% of peak performance.ZettaLith is not spiking, optical, quantum, memristor, nanotube, reversible, tunneling, superconducting, bismuth, graphene, spintronics, cryogenic, analog, thermodynamic, probabilistic computing, wafer-scale chips, computing in memory or academic. It is standard digital CMOS, compatible with current LLMs.
ZettaLith jettisons AI training, HPC and graphics to achieve extraordinary performance using standard CMOS processes scheduled for high volume availability in 2026.
No new physics. No new materials. Fully fab-friendly.
ZettaLith is ready for architecture-level design start and de-risking now, with volume manufacturing targeted for late 2027 on TSMC A16, Intel 18A, or Samsung SF1.4 processes. It is not a small project: approximately a two year, $1 Bn development effort suitable only for tier-1 tech companies.
